Pi Day and the Bible

Today is March 14—or as math lovers know it, Pi Day! The date (3.14) matches the famous mathematical constant π, the ratio of a circle’s circumference to its diameter. While some celebrate with pie (the delicious kind), we thought we’d mark the occasion with a different kind of exploration.

Since 3.14 appears in another well-known book—the Bible—we decided to dig up every chapter 3, verse 14 (3:14) from Scripture. From God’s declaration to Moses in Exodus (“I Am Who I Am”) to Jesus’ words in John (“Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up”), these verses reveal powerful moments across the Old and New Testaments.

So grab a slice of pie and enjoy this Pi Day Bible deep dive!
