Pat Boone released a new multi-artist song written to unite the world in a shared mission of hope and humanitarian aid.

The song "ONE" was released Friday in time for World Water Day, held annually on March 22 since 1993.

“There are many tragedies in the world, and human costs never seem to end—including the recent devastating fires here in Los Angeles,” said Boone. “But we still need to address centuries-old problems in Africa that will stretch well into the future unless we do something about them. A life without water is inconceivable, yet millions of people in 2025 still have limited or no access to clean water. Scary, isn’t it?”

The song features a wide variety of artists including Alabama, Billy Dean, Vince Gill and Deborah Allen. It also features Nashville's Legacy Mission Village Singers, who are all refugees from Tanzania and Congo, and Gospel artist Sebastian Silas &God is Love.

The song which was recorded in English, has also been translated and recorded in Tanzania's native language of Swahili.

The hope is to also include a DVD/Blu-ray with the official music video and a behind-the-scenes “Making Of” documentary.

In 2010, Boone and his late wife Shirley established the Pat Boone Family Life Center in Loiborsoit, Tanzania, in cooperation with GOD TV and WorldServe International, a non-profit organization committed to providing clean water, sanitation, education, and economic opportunities in Africa.

Since then, the couple has been able to fund a deep water well, a school and a vegetable garden that helps feed multiple villages.

Following in the footsteps of “We Are the World,” which remains a global force for change 40 years later, Boone hopes “ONE” will inspire a similar movement.
