The Museum of Christian & Gospel Music is only months away from opening its doors.
Located in the heart of Music City in Nashville and steps away from the legendary Ryman Auditorium, The C&G, which has been a dream decades in the making, will open in September.
"The Christian Music industry has been rooted in Nashville for decades, and people have dreamed of this museum for just as long," said Steve Gilreath, executive director of The C&G. "Now, right in the heart of downtown, we’re creating a space where people can touch the music that has touched us all."
The 11,000 sq. foot museum will feature state-of-the-art interactive displays showcasing the past and present story of Christian & Gospel music.
In this new facility, visitors can immerse themselves in powerful stories of faith and transformation, experience music that has inspired generations, and even create remixes of iconic songs on-site. The space will also feature live performances, interactive workshops, and opportunities to connect with artists.
"The GMA's mission to expose, promote, and celebrate the Gospel through Music is being fulfilled in this first-ever Museum of Christian & Gospel Music," said GMA President Jackie Patillo. "Thanks to our Board of Directors, artists, and supporters, a team of experts have come together to present the many diverse styles, including Gospel, CCM, Southern Gospel, Rap, HipHop, and Worship, which will all be celebrated with the power of its life-changing message filling the air."
The Museum of Christian & Gospel Music will officially open its doors during the Labour Day long weekend.
