Easter time rolls around in April, so it’s the perfect time to learn more about a beautiful historic Ukrainian, and Saskatchewan, tradition with the pysanky.
Once again this year, the Humboldt and District Gallery offers patrons a chance to explore the art form of the pysanky, the traditional intricately decorated Easter egg. Join Lisa Anderson on this exploration. From 10:00 to 12:00 pm, there will be a free, drop-in pysanky demonstration. View a display of the intricate eggs and learn more about the artform. Everyone is welcome to stop in!
Then from 1:30 to 4:30 pm Lisa will be showing participants how to create their own pysanky. This workshop requires pre-registration and costs $25 per person. All supplies are included. There are limited spots available, so call 306-682-5226 or email info@humboldtmuseum.ca to register!
Celebrate this amazing Easter tradition at the Gallery.
