From the moment that Ryan Anzo stepped on stage for a Christmas recital in elementary school, he was hooked on music and is now using his talent to bring glory to God.
"I did everything I could do from music theatre to choir and then from that I started to branch into doing solo stuff and even joining a boy band," Anzo said.
"And then from there, when I got saved, I just wanted to make music for God and now I think God has opened the doors for me and I've been growing in my relationship with Him. It's been a blessing, honestly."
Getting involved with an online community was vital for Anzo's relationship with God and his new song, "Secrets." "I didn't have community at all, and through Christian Music Mentor, I got it plugged in and started meeting people and even writing worship. I got into a lot of co-writes and the time that I wrote "Secrets" I felt like I was in the background. I felt God wanted me to step out more and that's why "Secrets" came about. I got together with a couple of writers and we wrote the song that day."
Anzo hopes that after hearing "Secrets," listeners will know that God is always present. "In every single way, through the downs and the ups. and knowing that. You don't have to worry about anything because He has every best intention to make you closer to Him. By knowing that, it's amazing. It just opens my heart to know that He's there through all of it, even though you don't know everything, He's always in control."
In the future, Anzo wants to take his music to another level. "I want to start putting out more music that will help people understand you're not alone. God is always going to break chains. I want my music to heal people. And for them to know what it's like to walk in faith, that He's there. Through this season, I've been going through ups and downs honestly, but I've known that I've looked at the cross and nothing can separate my love from Him."
