The Vault Collections is the product of a dream brought to life by a few diehard hobbyists. Co-owner Regan Boyd says the business began when he and co-owner Brent Code decided that it would be cool to open a memorabilia and antique store in town, which eventually branched out to include a wider variety of items.
He shares that they later wanted to reach as many people as possible, and figured that would require carrying something for everyone.
Today, the store carries EGO yard tools, Blackstone and Yoder grills, smokers and accessories, Strider E-bikes, electric dirt bikes, sports and film memorabilia, porcelain signs for oil and gas companies dating back to 1936, neon signs, and baseball, hockey, football, and NASCAR supplies and gear. Code also notes that all NASCAR helmets are signed by the racers, and come with a certificate of authenticity.
“Most of the memorabilia is from a wholesale company,” Boyd shares. “We obviously can't stock every player, but if someone's looking for a specific player or item, there's a good chance we can track it down for them.”
Shoppers will also see a vintage variety of gas pumps, pinball machines, refrigerators, and even Coke machines.
“They’re from the 50s,” says Code. “They’re the Vendo 44 model- that’s the most desirable kind for collectors of that model.”
The most popular items that Boyd and Code have noticed flying out the doors are their barbecue rubs, spices, and pellets.
“Seems like people, as the weather warms up, are getting excited about getting out on the deck and doing some barbecuing and whatnot.”
Boyd also expects the warmer weather to increase sales in the sport and cycling sectors.
“We probably have the largest selection of barbecue and smoker accessories,” Boyd says. “And we're also kind of the only recreational store in town selling motorcycles, bikes, paddleboards, and any other items like that. We also have a lot of cool golf brands like Golf Gods, Pins and Aces, Bogey Bros, Waggle Golf, Crush Golf, Dixon, and RVL.”
Boyd and Code agree that the most rewarding part of running this business is the chance to meet so many different people, from kids all the way to seniors.
“It's really a place you need to come down here, and see it with your own two eyes, and take some time to look around. There's so many things to look at- it takes a little bit of time to get through it all.”
