The following is the RCMP report to April 26, 2025. This reporting period, police responded to the following calls for service.

- 28 provincial statute (Mental Health Act, Fire Prevention Act, Coroner's Act, 911 Act)
- 40 common police activities (alarms, suspicious persons/vehicles, assistance to general public)

- 10 other criminal code

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT:
Just a reminder that RCMP DO NOT do child abuse and adult abuse registry checks. RCMP is responsible for criminal record checks and vulnerable sector checks. You require a vulnerable sector check if you are in a position of trust. You must present to the detachment when applying for a vulnerable sector check.
Position of Trust means a paid or voluntary position dealing with vulnerable people. Vulnerable people may include children, youth, the elderly, people with physical, developmental, emotional, social, or other disabilities, people who are addicted or dependent on addictive substances, and people who have been the victim of a crime or an accident.
Applicants who require a Vulnerable Sector Check from their organization must present themselves in person and provide written consent in order for the checks to be conducted.
Proper identification must be produced and recorded on the application: a government issued photo identification for the Primary Document, and a secondary document which verifies the Primary identification.
YOUTH CRIMINAL RECORD CHECKS
Criminal record checks cannot be done on youth unless working in Government. It has been established that non-provincially or municipally run summer camps and pools, public/private schools including colleges/universities are not government employers.

Police received a request for a wellbeing check in Hartney. While responding, police were updated that they were no longer required as family was now in contact with the person in question.
Police received a request for assistance in Killarney. A female was transported to the hospital.

Police received a report of fraud in Hartney. The matter is under investigation.
March 19, 2025
Police responded to a 911 call for a vehicle fire in the RM of Killarney Turtle-Mountain. Fire Department was on scene, the fire was not criminal in nature and police departed.
Police received a report of an assault in Belmont. Police followed up with the complainant however there was insufficient evidence to proceed.

Police responded to a request for a wellbeing check in Deloraine. All parties were located safe.
Police received a report of theft in Killarney. Police followed up with the complainant however there was insufficient evidence to proceed.

Police received a report of uttering threats in the RM of Deloraine-Winchester. Police spoke with the complainant and it was determined no threats were made, and the dispute was a civil matter. There was insufficient evidence to proceed.
Police received a report under the fire prevention act in the RM of Deloraine-Winchester. The fire department was responding and police were not required therefor the matter was concluded.

Police responded to a request for assistance from another agency for a possible impaired driver in the Municipality of Boissevain-Morton. A roadside screening device was issued which resulted in a warning. An immediate roadside suspension was given to the driver prohibiting driving for 3 days and the vehicle was towed.

Police responded to a call under the 911 act for multiple 911 calls in Hartney. Police were able to speak with the home owner who determined they were having problems with their phone line and did not require police assistance.
Police received a report of theft in Killarney. There was insufficient evidence to proceed.
Police received another report of theft in Deloraine. The complainant was reporting for information purposes only.
Police received a report of theft in Boissevain. Police followed up with the complainant and the matter is under investigation.
Police responded to a call for assistance in Killarney. Police departed after speaking with all parties involved.

Police responded to a call under the family law act in Boissevain. Members followed up with the complainant and were advised they were no longer needed.
April 6, 2025
Police received a report of a possible missing person in Killarney. Police were able to locate the party involved safe and update the complainant.
Police responded to a call under the fire prevention act in Boissevain. There were no injuries and the fire department was present therefor police departed as they were not required.

Police received a report of theft of gas in Boissevain. Police followed up with the parties involved and the matter was concluded.

Police received a report of trespassing in Ninette. Police located and spoke with the subject and issued a warning as the complainant did not want to press charges at this time. The matter was concluded.
Police responded to a call under the customs act in the Municipality of Boissevain-Morton. There was insufficient evidence to proceed.
Police received a report of fraud in Boissevain. Members followed up with the complainant and the matter is under investigation.
April 9, 2025
Police received a report of a found wallet in Killarney. Police contacted the owner who had lost it roughly 6 months ago. The owner was thankful and the wallet was returned.
Police received a complaint under the municipal by-laws act in the RM of Killarney Turtle-Mountain. Police were able to speak with all parties involved and the matter was concluded.

Police received a report of an attempted break and enter in the RM of Prairie Lakes. Police followed up with the complainant however there was insufficient evidence to proceed.
Police received a report of mischief in Boissevain. Police attended and spoke with the complainants. There was insufficient evidence to proceed at this time.

Police received a report of fraud in Killarney. The matter is under investigation.
Police received a report of an abandoned vehicle to in the RM of Killarney-Turtle Mountain. Police patrolled the area however the vehicle was gone on arrival.

Police received a report of a break and enter in Boissevain. The complainant was reporting for information purposes only.
Police responded to a 911 call for a break and enter in Boissevain. The matter is under investigation.
While patrolling, police located a parked vehicle and 2 people walking around on private property. Police spoke with the parties involved, educated them on trespassing and issued them a warning as per the owner's request.

Police received a report of a suspicious person in Killarney. Police patrolled the area however the person was gone on arrival.
Police responded to a call for a theft of truck in Killarney. Police patrolled the area and located the vehicle. A male was arrested and released on an appearance notice to appear in court at a later date.

Police received a report of criminal harassment in Boissevain. The complainant was reporting for information purposes only at this time.
Police responded to a call under the child, youth and family service act in Killarney. Police were able to speak with all parties involved and the matter was concluded.
Police received a report of theft of wallet in Killarney. The wallet was later located and returned to the owner.
Police responded to a 911 call for a breach of peace in Killarney. Police spoke with the parties involved, no criminal offence had occurred, and the matter was concluded.
Police received a report of an assault in Baldur. The complainant did not want police to attend; they just wanted it reported. The matter was concluded.

Police received a report of a fraud in the Municipality of Boissevain-Morton. The complainant had sent an etransfer to purchase an item however when the complainant arrived to pick it up, the item was not there. The matter is under investigation.

Police received a report of an assault in Ninette. The matter is under investigation.
April 23, 2025
Police received a report of disturbing the peace in the RM of Argyle. While responding, police received an update from the complainant that police were no longer required.
Police received a report of theft in Killarney. Police followed up with the complainant however there was insufficient evidence to proceed.
Police responded to a call for uttering threats in Killarney. Police patrolled the area however the suspect was gone on arrival.
Police received a report of a suspicious vehicle in Baldur. There was insufficient evidence to proceed.
Police responded to a call for disturbing the peace and a possible theft of truck in Boissevain. Police attended and located the person and vehicle involved. The vehicle was not stolen and was parked. There was insufficient evidence to proceed.

Police received a report of mischief in Boissevain. Members followed up with the complainant however there was insufficient evidence to proceed.
Police received a report of identity fraud in Waskada. The matter is under investigation.
April 25, 2025
Police received a report of a suspicious person in the RM of Prairie Lakes. Police were able to locate the person in question and determined they were on their way home. The matter was concluded.

Due to the many reports of vehicle thefts, the public is reminded to secure parked and unattended vehicles and refrain from leaving valuables in plain view.
