The dream to continue to save souls and sing to the bound and broken will continue for another night for American Idol contestant, Breanna Nix.

The singer, who is unafraid to put God front and centre on a national stage, made it into the top 5 on Sunday evening.

"I truly have no words—just deep gratitude. Thank you for believing in me, for supporting my dreams, and for standing by my family," said Breanna in a post on social media. "To be here in the Top 5 is surreal. This has been the most unforgettable experience, and to celebrate it on Mother’s Day? Even more special. Thank you guys."

Breanna sang two songs, "Reflection" from Mulan as her Disney Night song, and Lauren Alaina's "Like My Mother Does" as her Mother's Day tribute.

Throughout the past several weeks, Breanna has used the American Idol stage as a platform to reach souls and to grow in her faith.

"I've gotten so much closer to God through this experience. I've been able to witness to so many people and minister more than I ever thought possible, and God is just truly so good, and he deserves all my praise," said Breanna. "It's not me. It's God."

Breanna is the last remaining female contestant on the show. She, along with Slater Nalley, John Foster, Jamal Roberts and Thunderstorm Artis, will compete tonight for the final 3.
