The was no junk in these trunks. On Saturday, vendors and savvy shoppers gathered together among the bargains in the parking lot of the Humboldt Legion Hall for their Trunk Sale.
From globe lamps to 8-track tapes, from puzzles for pastimes to baking and homemade knitwear, this sale had it all.
Among the garage finds were curios like Brian Stomp’s exquisite wood turnings. Particularly interesting were the art pieces fashioned out of boxelder burls. Also on hand was a local mushroom company that has set up production in Humboldt with mushroom teas and whole products that boast health benefits.
Of course, there was plenty of time for visiting with friends and neighbours while breaking bread and a smoky over the lunch hour.
Thanks to all who came out to support the Legion at the sale and with Chase the Ace purchases. Proceeds go to the Humboldt Legion for its facilities and programming.
