Matthew West releases tribute song to wife on their anniversary

Matthew West recently released an ode to his wife on their wedding anniversary called "Growing Up and Growing Old."

West and his wife Emily just celebrated their 22nd wedding anniversary, and West released this song about their love story. 

"One of the benefits of us getting married as quickly as we did is, yes ,we were in love, and yes, it was romantic, but we were also best friends," says Emily in a video of the two of them. "We laugh every day and we have the most fun."

The couple has two daughters together, Lulu and Delaney. 

"Jesus at the centre of your marriage is essential," says West. "It's everything. Beyond that, being quick to forgive and ask for forgiveness."

West will be performing in his family's hometown of Nashville at the Grand Ole Opry on May 23, 2025.
