Dante Bowe has returned to Maverick City Music almost three years after he was released from the band due to 'inconsistent behaviour with our core values and beliefs.'
Maverick City Music took to social media on Sept. 26, 2022, to announce that they were pausing their work with Dante.
About three weeks ago, it was revealed that Bowe was back on tour with the five-time Grammy-award-winning collective.
In a video posted on Dante's social media, you can see him performing on stage alongside the popular worship band.
Fans quickly reacted, saying it was great to see him back.
"God is so good. Shoutout to everyone who prayed for this reconciliation instead of engaging with gossip," said one fan.
"Is this for real??? Dante Bowe...for real....my God is forever doing great things.....I am soooooooo happy right NOW!!!!" said another fan. "Lord, I give you praise and thanksgiving for this precious young man. Welcome, Home, Son."
Since his return, he's performed multiple shows with the band, including a performance at Epcot’s American Gardens Theatre at Disney World.
Thousands of people gathered around the stage in the middle of a storm to hear the concert.
Although there were multiple delays due to lightning, the crowd stayed strong and the band continued to sing.
The incident with Dante Bowe wasn't the first time Maverick City Music has been thrust into the spotlight.
In October 2024, the award-winning worship collective was featured on a song on GloRilla's latest album Glorious alongside Kirk Franklin, Chandler Moore and Kierra Sheard.
The song, 'Rain Down on Me', was the only song on the 15-track album that didn't feature explicit or inappropriate lyrics.
Fans quickly reacted.
"Maverick City is featured on a song with Glorilla???? What an embarrassment for the Christian music industry. Come quickly, Lord," said one fan.
"These 'Christian' gospel artists need to stop compromising. It’s plenty of ways to reach souls. Kirk Franklin, Kierra Sheard & Maverick City Music being on Glorilla's album is wild. God come get us," said another.
Others praised the song, saying it was great and that it's time to stop judging people.
Maverick City Music never did address the backlash.
