A Winnipeg church is hosting a worship evening this weekend in hopes of encountering the presence of God.
"This Saturday, at 7 p.m., we're having our 'Encounter Night'," says Dylan Chambers, the lead pastor at Believer's Church. "This is something we do once a month. The agenda, the motive, the whole goal is encountering the presence of God."
This monthly event began in January of this year, after the staff realized that hosting something like this once a month could offer more intention.
"It's a worship night. We have a plan, but the motto is really encountering the Lord and worshiping Him. When we do it once a month, more people come out, there's more impact and intention behind it."
The event takes place at 465 Alexander Ave., and all are welcome.
"I love worship, and it's a beautiful thing when you see the church come together and collectively worship. I've seen unity as we're having some different people from other churches come together. We've had reported healings, breakthroughs, and people having life poured into them."
