Christian artist Ben Fuller has had a full week indeed after releasing a brand new album, Walk Through Fire, on June 6.
The album is his second studio release and has two featured artists, including Molly Kate Kestner, and well-known singer and American Idol judge, Carrie Underwood. The album has 13 tracks on it.
The Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, TN, is celebrating its centennial year with ongoing performances that recently included Fuller. Surprising the crowd, Fuller brought up Underwood to perform their latest single, "If It Was Up to Me."
“Jesus walked everywhere when He was on this earth. He was never in a hurry," Fuller says in an interview. "He meets you where you are—whether at your highest high or your lowest low. I’m thankful that I had to walk through fire to get to where I am today. It was time to throw out my old boots, the ones covered in sin and shame, and put on new ones as I started my walk with God."
Right before going on the Opry stage, Fuller's dad prayed over the group. This was a big moment, as Fuller sings in one of his new songs about his dad not praying anymore.
"So I guess I gotta change that line in the verse already don’t I.. Isn’t God awesome?" says Fuller on social media. "He answers prayers. Thank you Jesus."
