It was a dream come true for American Idol runner-up Breanna Nix.

The Christian country singer performed at the Grand Ole Opry on June 5, 2025. This was also the first big performance for NIx since the show ended back in May.

"What an absolute dream come true," said Nix in a post on Facebook. "Thank you, Jesus, for this incredible opportunity—for Your faithfulness and grace in my life. I wouldn’t be here without it. All Glory to God."

Nix performed her first single, "Higher," and Bethel Music's "Goodness of God," leaving everyone with their hands up in worship.

Nix says this moment will go down in her book of favourite memories.

"Thank you, Opry, for letting me step onto such an iconic stage, surrounded by so many AMAZING people."

Fans who attended the show quickly reacted to her performance on social media.

"Congratulations! You sounded amazing, looked amazing! What a voice and spirit! This world needs what God is doing and going to do through you!!" said one fan.

"We were at the show last night," said another fan. "You were beyond fantastic!! Thank you for spreading the word of God! You are an inspiration!"

Nix received two standing ovations during her performance.

Breanna Nix made it to the Top 3 on American Idol, coming in third place behind John Foster and Jamal Roberts, who took home the top prize.
