CHVN was on location in our Summer Cruiser as dozens of people gathered at the Holiday Inn South on Sunday morning for The Word Conference, hosted by The Stone Church Winnipeg. The event was open to everyone and offered free admission.
The gathering opened with prayer and worship, followed by a sermon, concluding with an altar call inviting participants to respond personally. Refreshments were available for attendees after the session, encouraging fellowship and discussion.
The Stone Church Winnipeg, inaugurated in 2018, is a congregation within Word Alive Ministries International, established over 30 years ago in 1993.
Pastor Alex Adegboye, founder and lead pastor of Word Alive Ministries International, shared about the ministry's mission and the vision God placed in his heart three decades ago.
“The Word is more than ink on paper; we want it to come alive and be real,” said Adegboye.
He emphasized the profound importance and effectiveness of applying the Bible's teachings daily, highlighting its transformative power: "The Word of God becomes our reality."
Church leaders and attendees expressed hope that those present would leave the conference inspired and encouraged to explore the relevance and power of scripture in their everyday lives.
“Our hope is that people will start believing the Word of God more deeply,” said Pastor Yinka Adeyemi, lead pastor of The Stone Church Winnipeg.
