Time to climb the heights for the best view of Humboldt outside a crop duster.
The historic Water Tower opens for the season today, July 2. The restored tower is an engineering marvel in its own right. Since it’s repurposing, it’s become a major tourist attraction, the only one in the province restored to this extent.
The interior sports a winding staircase with steps generously sponsored by patrons who support the continued maintenance of the monolith. Safely climb to the top for a 360 degree look at the city and its surroundings.
Walk-up tours will be available on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 1:30pm to 4pm until August 30. Evening tours will also be available from 5pm to 7pm on Thursday, July 3, as well as Thursday, July 24 and Thursday, August 21 if you can't make it during the day.
Admission rates are $6 per adult and $4 per child.
It’s been called our own “"Little Lighthouse on the Prairie." Come and experience it for yourself at another season of Water Tower Tours.
