Here is a look at five events happening in and around Moose Jaw this weekend:
Sidewalk Days, Saturday
Take in the final day of the Kinsmen Sidewalk Days Festival from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Main Street North.
There are nine blocks of vendors, food trucks and live entertainment.
Don’t forget to check out the Battle of the Bands from 1 to 4 p.m. with the winning band’s set starting at 4:15 p.m.
Activities at Buffalo Pound Provincial Park, Saturday and Sunday
Take part in a number of activities at Buffalo Pound Provincial Park over the weekend.
Saturday is Craft Club at 10 a.m. with the theme “Winging It.” You can join park interpreters with a fun, nature-themed craft. At 2 p.m. is the Solar Oven S’Mores, where you can learn how to make on solar oven to make delicious s’mores.
A homestead hike takes place on Sunday at 10 a.m. This guided tour of the Nicolle Homestead teaches visitors more about the Nicolle family.
All activities are free with park admission.
Miller Express baseball, Saturday and Sunday
Come on out to Ross Wells Park and watch the Moose Jaw Miller Express play the Lethbridge Bulls on Saturday and Sunday in Western Canadian Baseball League action.
Saturday’s game gets underway at 7:05 p.m. and they are back in action on Sunday at 2:05 p.m.
Mustangs playoff lacrosse, Saturday
It’s playoff time for the Moose Jaw Mustangs junior lacrosse team. They host the Swift Current Wolverines at 7 p.m. at the Kinsmen Sportsplex in the Prairie Gold Lacrosse League semifinals.
The winner will take on the Prince Albert Predators in a three-game championship final.
Seek and Find at the Western Development Museum, Saturday and Sunday
A pair of seek and finds are happening at the Moose Jaw Western Development Museum this month.
You can try your hand at the Where the Wildflowers Grow Seek and Find as you look for images of Saskatchewan Wildflowers.
If you aren’t into flowers, there is the Royal Canadian Air Force Seek and Find. Write down the names of each vehicle used by the RCAF that can be found in the museum for your chance to win a plush Piper Cub toy.
