Movie Nights are back at Nickle Lake Regional Park every Saturday night this summer. This Saturday night, they'll be playing, 'Paddington in Peru'.

"This year, we're going to hold them underneath the roof of our new building, so it should be nice there, and if it's raining out, we can still continue to show movies," shared Park Manager Darren Wheeler. "They'll be  starting at between 8:30 and 9, depending on when dusk hits."

The movies will be projected onto a jumbo blow up screen, which should be right in the courtyard of the new washroom and canteen facilities.

He said there is no cost to watch the movie, but a seasonal park pass or day pass, is required to access the various amenities.

"We have a license to show movies there all summer long, so there is a selection of movies that are available to us with our license. Pretty well any of the Disney ones and Pixar and all those ones we can get, and there's quite a list we can offer. A lot of the brand new ones we can't, they're not out in the theatre yet, but by next summer, we'll get all those ones."

Wheeler said they choose the movie early in the week and share it on their social media.

Those who would like to make a suggestion for what they will be showing can stop by the park office to view a list or send an email to the park at nicklelakeregionalpark@gmail.com
