The Humboldt & District Museum is inviting the public to take part in a new historic downtown public art walking tour, launching Saturday, July 19, in celebration of Historic Places Day.

The free guided tours will depart from the museum at 11:00 am, 2:00 pm., and 3:00 pm, offering participants a chance to explore the stories behind some of Humboldt’s historic buildings and its growing collection of public art.

“This tour is a way to connect people with the history that surrounds them every day,” said museum director Jennifer Fitzpatrick. “We’re excited to share the stories of the buildings that have shaped Humboldt’s downtown—and highlight the public art that continues to make this space vibrant.”

Fitzpatrick noted that the initiative supports a broader goal of encouraging public engagement with heritage spaces.

“Historic Places Day is a national celebration, and we’re proud to be part of it,” she said. “Whether you're new to Humboldt or have lived here your whole life, we think you'll learn something new.”

No registration is required, and all ages are welcome.
