Even though there is a chance of showers all weekend, there is still plenty to do in the Foothills this weekend.

There is fun for everyone this weekend, so let's see what's going on:

Friday, July 18:

From 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Okotoks Public Library, they are hosting Freezie Fridays, which is a story time filled with songs and stories.

This week's Nature Friday's event in Okotoks will teach about butterflies and their lifecycle at the Environmental Education Centre in Okotoks from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. This is part of Pollinator Week, which helps people learn about insects that pollinate.

The Okotoks Farmers' Market will be at the Viking Rentals Centre parking lot, where people are able to buy food and treats from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m.

Over at Seaman Stadium, the Okotoks Dawgs will be taking on the Regina Red Sox. It's First Responders Night, and first pitch will be tossed at 7:05 p.m.

Friday nights at the Okotoks Rec Centre are Youth Nights, and youth aged 12 to 18 are able to enjoy the pool and gymnasium at the Rec Centre until 10 p.m. and the Youth Centre until 11 p.m.

Yooneek Books in Okotoks is hosting their third annual Find Waldo in Okotoks challenge. With this challenge, businesses in Okotoks hide a Waldo cutout somewhere in their store for people to find.

Saturday, July 19:

Down in Longview, Little New York Daze is kicking off with a pancake breakfast at 8 a.m. and a parade at 10 a.m.

Also in Longview, the Longview Country Market will be happening from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

At the Okotoks Elks Club, there is a perogy lunch and meat draw, with lunch being served at noon.

The Nooks & Crannies Festival is kicking off, which will see art infiltrating the hidden corners of Okotoks. This event runs until August 23, and people will be able to enjoy public art for free.

Taste of Okotoks will be taking over the Arts and Learning Campus in Okotoks from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and people will be able to enjoy savoury eats and sweet treats.

Over at the Okotoks Art Gallery, their summertime displays are up. One of the exhibits is the Colour Your World exhibit, which allows kids to pick up a crayon and colour at the gallery. This exhibit will be up all summer long. There is also a Members Show and Sale happening all summer long at the Art Gallery.

At Seaman Stadium, there will be an All-Star Game, beginning at 7:05 p.m.

Little New York Daze is continuing in Longview, and this is the only Sunday the Longview Country Market will be taking place.
