Forrest Frank is recovering after injuring himself in a skateboarding incident.
Forrest was playing with his son, Bodie and when he fell off his skateboard and landed on his back.
"Dads, this is your sign to get off the stick," said Forrest in a post on Instagram. "It was just a casual session with my 2-year-old, so I didn’t even think to put a helmet on (hindsight is 20/20)."
The incident left Forrest with multiple fractures to his L3 and L4 vertebrae.
"Thankful to God that it wasn’t any worse," said Frank. "I will be lying in bed for a while. Call me a weirdo, but through the pain, I was crying tears of joy in the ambulance…God is always working, and he’s never failed me!! This adventure just has some pain attached to it :) I’ll be lying in bed for the next however long, but the vibes are UP!"
Forrest's friends from the Christian music industry quickly took to social media to wish him well.
"Dang, bro, praying for the quickest and most supernatural recovery," said Brandon Lake. "Your attitude is inspiring! Love you, dawg."
Colton Dixon said he was shocked by how Frank handled the situation, sending him prayers for a quick and full recovery.
Phil Wickham, Kari Jobe, Cory Asbury, Patrick Mayberry and Maverick City also sent him well wishes.
Forrest is wasting no time while on bed rest. In a second video posted on social media, Forrest shows his fans how he's still able to make music, creating a song called "God's Got My Back."
Forrest's next performance is slated for Aug. 7 at the Iowa State Fair Grandstand.
