By the time Sunday rolls around, the annual Manitoba Threshermen’s Reunion & Stampede has been serving up steam engine rides, harvest demonstrations, delicious food and a celebration of the pioneering experience for three full days.
For the third year in a row, The Threshing Floor: Praise and Worship event will provide a Sunday morning opportunity to sing, to listen and to pray. Paul Hoeppner, who helps coordinate The Threshing Floor, is looking forward to seeing some familiar faces as well as new people who have not attended before.
“We try to bring the community to Sunday morning and just continue with the theme that the Threshermen’s Reunion has going,” says Paul Hoeppner. “We’re located right in the Eagle Vision arena. The doors open at 10:30 a.m. and we kick it off at 11,” he says. “It’s open to anybody who wants to come, and it doesn’t matter where you’re at in life.”
Once again, Nathan Keys will lead the praise and worship – this year joined by Danielle Savard. A local speaker will also share insight and testimony.
Reaction to previous Threshing Floor events has been overwhelmingly positive, and there’s never been an issue recruiting volunteers.
“We’ve had a lot of encouragement – not just from Austin, but also from the surrounding areas,” Hoeppner says. “People have helped with some of the costs and others have volunteered to help put up the stage and take it down in a timely fashion so the parade can get started at 1:00 p.m. There’s a lot of people who have been involved, and I’m just thankful for every one of them.”
Hoeppner also encourages Threshermen’s Reunion & Stampede attendees to participate in the Christian Cowboys church service that starts at 10:00 a.m. at the village bandstand. Then they can come on down to the arena for praise and worship.
“I think it’s a great way to start your Sunday morning,” Hoeppner says. “I just welcome everyone to come out and have a good morning, a good day. And then, because you’ve already paid to come to the Reunion, you have a great afternoon ahead of you.”
The 2025 Manitoba Threshermen’s Reunion and Stampede will take place Thursday, July 24 and run thru Sunday, July 27. The Threshing Floor: Praise and Worship will be held in the Eagle Vision arena at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday. Additional information about the weekend’s events can be found on the Threshermen’s Reunion website.
