The Moose Jaw Major AAA Little League team is heading to the Canadian Championship in Victoria, B.C., and they’re inviting the community to help make the journey unforgettable.

Assistant Coach Doug Young shared that the team is hosting a Rib and Caesar Night fundraiser tonight (Friday, July 25) at the Crushed Can Rec Room & Bar from 4 to 8 p.m. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased at Minute Muffler or from any team parent or player. A limited number will also be available at the door.

The funds will help cover travel, meals, and accommodations for 12 players and 3 coaches during the two-week tournament. “We’re just trying to make these boys have the best experience they can have,” said Young. “It’s a premier event, and we want to lower the costs for families as much as we can.”

The team has already felt the love from Moose Jaw. “The community support has been exceptional,” Young added. “Businesses and residents started donating as soon as they heard we won provincials.”

The boys will also be recognized at the Moose Jaw Miller Express game this Thursday, where they’ll be introduced alongside the team.

For tickets to Friday’s fundraiser, visit Minute Muffler and ask for Doug. Listen to the full conversation below with Avery LeBlanc of Country 100 and Doug Young.
