The Manitoba Agricultural Museum's biggest event of the year, the Threshermen's Reunion and Stampede, is underway. The event runs until Sunday, July 27th, and this beloved summer tradition blends heritage, entertainment, and community, with live music playing a central role in the festivities.

This year, Stride Credit Union is the presenting sponsor of the festival’s main stage, where festival-goers will be treated to a full lineup of live performances showcasing some of Manitoba's best country music talent. From noon until midnight, the Stride Credit Union Stage promises a lively and welcoming atmosphere filled with toe-tapping tunes.

"We're really excited to have Stride Credit Union join us as a presenting sponsor and sponsor our main stage,” says Angie Klym, past-president of the Manitoba Agricultural Museum. "Stride has been a longtime champion of the festival, and their involvement allows us to offer a top-notch facility for artists to put on a great show for our visitors.”

The musical offerings aren’t limited to country alone. Throughout the museum grounds, guests can also enjoy a variety of styles and cultural performances. At the village bandstand, visitors will find groups like the Asham Stompers and Ukrainian dance troupes bringing their vibrant energy to the event.

Music has long played a role in the Threshermen's Reunion experience, Klym explains. "Over the years, the museum has had a strong connection with music, whether it’s through fiddling competitions, old-time dances, square dancing or modern-day country concerts. It’s something people really enjoy."

Well known performers like Damn Straight, Banned and Outlawed, Prairieline, Bull Ruckus and more will be featured on some of the different stages throughout the venue.

In addition to drawing well-known acts from across the province, the Reunion and Stampede also serves as a platform for local musicians to share their talents.

"We're excited to feature a number of local artists and bands," Klym says. "It gives them an opportunity to share their love of music with a broader audience.”

While there are no contests or competitions scheduled for the main stage this year, the real attraction lies in the quality and range of performances. Thanks to Stride Credit Union's support, the stage setup has seen improvements that enhance both the performer and audience experience.

With music playing across various stages and settings, and a lineup that celebrates both homegrown and provincial talent, this year's Threshermen's Reunion and Stampede is set to be a memorable one.

"We encourage everyone to take a moment to listen, enjoy, and support the talent on display," Klym adds. "It really adds to the festival experience."
