Turnout numbers keep growing for the Thursday night Bingo at Nickle Lake Regional Park - with 93 in attendance last night.

"It was great to see that great turnout, so and we're shooting for 100 this coming week," shared Park Manager Darren Wheeler.

He said the Bingo nights, along with the 50/50 raffles drawn every other Sunday are all part of the ongoing fundraising for the new water feature they plan to begin building at the park next season and to help with park upgrades.

"We're busy working on the planning stages of that right now. So we're just getting things finalized on that. This will give us a good start and and hoping for some bigger things coming up here shortly too."

The 50/50 tickets are 1 for $2, 3 for $5, or 10 for $10. The winner of this Sunday's  50/50 draw, held live on Facebook, will take home more than $1,000.

"We [also] have our raffle for our for our barbecue that we're raffling off as well too, so we have those tickets available, but we're almost sold out of that," Wheeler noted. "We had a Blackstone Grill donated to us by a seasonal camper and we're raffling it off to to help raise some funds."

Bingo cards are $1 each and anyone with a park pass (seasonal or a day pass) can join in from 6 to 8 p.m. every Thursday throughout the season.
