It's been just over a year since three members of the Grammy-nominated gospel band, The Nelons, died in a plane crash.
The family group were on their way to join the Gaither Homecoming Cruise to Alaska on July 26, 2024, when tragedy struck.
The crash claimed the lives of Jason and Kelly Nelon Clark, Amber and Nathan Kistler and their assistant, Melodi Hodges. The pilot, Larry Haynie and his wife, Melissa, were also killed in the crash.
Autumn, the youngest in the group and her husband, Jaime Streetman, were not on the plane. They arrived safely in Seattle, where they received the news that their family had perished in a plane crash.
"It’s been a year since I lost 2 of the most important people in my life, and not a day has gone by that I haven’t felt the weight of that heartbreak," said Autumn Nelon Streetman in a post on social media. "But even in the deepest sorrow, God has never stopped being good. He has carried us through every tear, every question, every sleepless night."
She says it's thanks to her husband and her son that she can face the day-to-day.
"My husband has been my rock, standing strong when I couldn’t, loving me through every broken moment," said Autumn. "Our baby boy has brought joy back into our lives in a way only God could orchestrate. His laughter, his light, his life have brought healing to our souls."
Autumn is thankful for all the prayers, love and grace that she received over the past year from friends, family and strangers afar.
"My family has never left my side, walking with me through the valley, and together we are stronger than we have ever been. And the friends who showed up—not just in words, but in presence have become more like family, offering unwavering love and support. Through it all, I’ve seen that even in loss, we are never alone."
"Though I may never sing with them here on earth again, I will sing with them face to face in Heaven one day because we will always have a song."
In April 2025, Autum released her first solo single, "God Won't," featuring Grammy-nominated and Dove Award-winning group The Isaacs.
Autumn has also spent most of spring and summer on the road supporting her music.
