A free Christian music festival is coming back for another year.

Off the Charts Music Festival has been running in Cavalier, ND, two hours south of Winnipeg, for over a decade.

"It could be the greatest free music festival that you've ever attended," says Kyle Gagner, director and host of Off the Charts. "It's our joy to host this festival in our beautiful City Park here in our small little town of Cavalier, ND, bringing in some of the best family-friendly music."

The festival has been running since 2012, and has something for everyone. "We've got food vendors, inflatable games, and so much to do. It's a City Park. It's beautiful. You're sitting amongst the trees. It feels a little bit like a family reunion in some respects because people are sitting next to each other and visiting. It's very relaxed."

The two-day event features music from several artists. "One of them is from Canada. Jordan St. Cyr is making a return to our stage. He was here in 2017 or 18, I believe. He's great. We're super pumped to have him back.

"We've got The Band JAREN, who we're very excited about. Riley Clemens is coming. We're very excited about and then Rend Collective is going to close the night out with some bangers. It's going to be awesome."

Gagner is excited to see everyone enjoy the activities and music, and is excited to offer it for free. "We are so blessed to have so many great partners and people who have come behind our mission. We simply want to share the love of Jesus through music and other relevant means."

Over the years, Gagner says it's been amazing as people participate. "I can think of many moments where I've stood in the park and looked at the group of people and you can just feel the Spirit washing over all of the folks, and you can see it in the smiles. You can feel it in the joy of the people who are there."

The fun doesn't stop at the end of the day but continues into Sunday. "We've got a community worship service. Many people tell us that's their favourite part of the whole festival. Our boy Hunter Fraser is going to be in town from Minneapolis. He's a great worship leader. We've got a guy named Greg Speck who's going to be bringing the Word."

Off the Charts Music Festival is on August 16 and 17 at City Park in Cavalier, ND.
