The Gospel Music Association (GMA) has announced the nominations for this year's 56th Dove Awards show.
Brandon Lake has the most nominations this year with nine, including Artist of the Year. The others in the same category include CeCe Winans, Forrest Frank, Josiah Queen, Lauren Daigle, and Phil Wickham.
This year's theme for the awards show is Creation Sings. Tauren Wells will be hosting for the third year in a row.
"As someone who lives to create, perform, and lead in worship, I’m constantly reminded that our music is just a reflection of a much greater song… one that began when God spoke the world into existence," says Wells about this year's show. "From the rhythms of the ocean to the harmonies of human praise, all of creation is echoing His glory. I can’t wait to celebrate the artists who are adding their voices to that eternal sound."
On top of music, the Dove Awards recognize inspirational and Christian films as well. In this year's lineup, The Best Christmas Pageant Ever is up for Feature Film of the Year, and it was fully filmed in Winnipeg, MB.
