It's time for our weekly musical spotlight, when we feature the best music made right here in our province. We call this Made in Manitoba. Tonight, it's a return visit from Kelly Bado who is originally from Côte d'Ivoire, but is now based in Winnipeg. Her new album is called Belles Âmes, and brings together her multilingual roots blending French and Attié, her first language.
We'll be featuring four songs off the new album, including one which features a duet with her late mother which celebrates intergenerational connections and cultural heritage. We'll also learn about the title track to the album Belles Âmes, which translates to "beautiful soul", and how it was the beginning of this project a number of years ago.
