Folklorama started on Sunday, and it feels like the Classic 107 Summer Cruiser has travelled the world.
On Sunday, the Cruiser began its journey in Ukraine by visiting the Spirit of Ukraine Pavilion at Soul Sanctuary, located at 2050 Chevrier Boulevard.
After that, the Cruiser zoomed off to the Centro Caboto Centre for the Italian Pavilion at 1055 Wilkes Avenue. We ended the night off at the Pembina Curling Club, 1341 Pembina Highway, for the Argentina-Tango Pavilion.
The Spirit of Ukraine Pavilion put on a great show with a Ukrainian wedding theme. Dancers captivated the audience by performing breathtaking jumps, flips, and turns.
The Italian Pavilion made the audience feel like family with lots of singing, dancing, and clapping filling the space.
Finally, the Argentina-Tango Pavilion featured professional dancers from Argentina, performing both traditional and modern dances from the country.
On Monday, the Classic 107 Cruiser resumed its globe-trotting adventure and visited the Egyptian Pavilion and Hungary-Pannonia Pavilion, both at the RBC Convention Centre, 375 York Avenue. It then went across the world to the Korean Pavilion held at the Holy Cross Gymnasium, 290 Dubuc Street.
The Egyptian Pavilion put on a phenomenal show filled with dancing, drumming, and an impressive cultural display.
The Hungary-Pannonia Pavilion shared traditional songs and dances from all over Hungary, with live music accompanying them.
The Korean Pavilion featured a K-Pop-inspired dance group, ancient-drumming displays, and a lively Taekwondo demonstration.
Folklorama continues until August 16, and Classic 107 is excited to continue travelling the world. You can get your tickets here and get that travel destination off your bucket list while staying in the city!
