Nickelodeon star Kel Mitchell had the special honour of being a part of his daughter's recent baptism.
In 2019, Kel Mitchell, who starred in Nickelodeon's All That and Kenan and Kel, announced that he had become a licensed youth pastor at Spirit Food Christian Center in Winnetka, California.
A week ago, Kel was blessed to assist the head pastor at Spirit Food Christian Center as they baptized his eight-year-old daughter, Wisdom.
"This weekend you gave me the greatest gift—I watched you get baptized and I cried tears of joy," said Mitchell. "A moment I’ll never forget."
His wife, Asia Lee, also wrote about their daughter's baptism, sharing how proud they were.
"She gave her life to Christ and asked to be baptized for her Birthday! What!! I am so blessed to be her mommy," said Asia Lee. "Thank you, Jesus, that she is in your Family forever."
They say that Wisdom was nervous, but she fought through the fear and was beyond excited to tell the world she is God's very own.
"Thank you to our church home for making her feel free to learn, love and express her faith in Jesus. I pray she never forgets this day."
In 2015, Kel struggled not only in his career but also in his marriage and life. He went through a divorce, got hooked on drugs and alcohol, dealt with debt and was feeling lost.
He says becoming a Christian is what saved his life and brought him peace.
He says he knows that no matter how sad he may feel, "I have my God that will destroy sorrow in its tracks."
Kel is currently preparing for his upcoming burger fest taking place in Brooklyn on Aug. 30.
