Matthew West is the latest Christian artist to add his name to the injured list.
However, his injury is a little simpler than Forrest Frank's broken back or Crowder's broken leg.
Hey guys, just a little update on my end," said Matthew West from his bed. "It's clear that the artist community is under attack cause Forrest Frank breaks his back. Crowder broke his leg, and I hate to let you guys know, but I'm the latest one who has suffered an injury."
What's the injury, you ask? A bee sting to his pinky finger.
"Prayers are appreciated," said Matthew West in a video posted on Instagram. "But I'm gonna do what Forrest did, I'm gonna turn these lemons into lemonade, see the glass half full, and I'm just working up some beats."
In his song, Matthew West includes Forrest's and Crowder's injuries in the lyrics, saying his injury is worse.
Several other Christian artists responded to his post with plenty to say about the song.
"I mean…this is probably my favourite injury-based Christian content that I've seen ALL week," said Rend Collective.
"Honey! Honey! Honey! We need this song!" said Lysa Terkeurst.
West is now awaiting a response from Forrest and Crowder.
"Let me know if I should finish this and drop it!" said Matthew West. "I’ll be bedridden till I feel better.
