The Duggar family is growing once again, as another member prepares to welcome a new addition to the family.
On Monday, Jana Duggar,35, the eldest daughter of 19 Kids and Counting, announced that she is pregnant with her first child.
"We are so excited, next year is going to come with a little bundle of joy joining our family!" said Duggar in a post on social media. "We're counting down the days and eagerly looking forward to this thrilling new chapter in our lives!"
Jana broke family tradition, getting married in her 30s. Duggar and her husband, Stephen Wissmann,31, celebrated their first anniversary on Aug. 15.
Many of her siblings married young and already had children when the pair got married.
In 2023, Amazon Prime released a docuseries, Shiny Happy People: Duggar Family Secrets, sharing inside information about the Duggar family.
For years, the Duggars were a household sensation featured in TLC's reality television shows, 19 Kids and Counting and Counting On
In the docuseries, Jill Duggar Dillard went on the record with her story and was joined by family and close family friends who witnessed what happened behind the scenes firsthand.
"There is a story that is going to be told, and I'd rather be the one telling it," said Jill Duggar Dillard in a trailer for the new docuseries.
19 Kids and Counting was cancelled back in 2015 after Josh admitted to molesting his sisters when they were younger. On the show, the family continued to profess Christian beliefs and morals in their household.
Josh Duggar, the oldest sibling in the family, was arrested in April 2021 and sentenced to 12 years in prison after child pornography was found on his work computer.
Jana's siblings are excited for their sister. The new addition is due in January 2026.
