Josiah Queen is a new name in CCM that many are getting to know quickly, and now he's released a full-length album called Mt. Zion.
At just 22 years old, Queen was recently nominated for the GMA Dove Award for Artist of the Year. His previous album, Prodigal, alongside the title track, is what put the singer on the map.
This new album, released Aug. 22, 2025, has 12 singles. Three songs have features, including Benjamin William Hastings, Gable Price, and Brandon Lake.
"These songs come from a heart of wanting to be in God’s presence," said Queen. "The Old Testament talks about Mount Sinai, where God’s presence was. The Israelites were hiding and were too scared to come close to God’s presence there. There’s also a place called Mt. Zion."
This year Queen was signed by Capitol Records/Capitol Christian Music Group (CCMG). His album release show at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville on Oct. 27 sold out in 48 hours.
"Mt. Zion represents a place of God’s presence and glory. It’s a place that we’re all welcomed into and we don’t have to hide our sin and shame from God, but a place where we can enter His presence."
Queen's songs have resonated deeply with fans as they've appeared on six Billboard charts and within Spotify’s Viral 50 in 18 countries.
"My hope is that anyone listening to the album would come to an understanding that God is close to us. He’s not only in Heaven or distant from us, but He’s here and welcoming us into His presence."
