Welcome to another episode of Made in Manitoba, and a special one at that, with it being the debut of La Crete, Alberta's The Giesbrecht Family.

You may be thinking, wait a second, that's not in our province! Well, Jeremiah... one half of the husband and wife duo along with their ten children... his family is originally from the Gretna area. His great-great grandfather was the first principal of the school in the town, and his great-grandfather was one of the first from the Low German speaking community in Southern Manitoba to make the move to La Crete in northern Alberta.

With that background set, over the next half hour we'll share music from Jeremiah and Melanie, learning how the two met and ultimately were led to start a family music ministry... again, with all ten of their kids. The youngest are about 2 years and 7 months old.

It's The Giesbrecht Family joining us for the first time on Made in Manitoba, with country-gospel music from their debut album "My Father's House".

And, if you like what you hear, be sure to keep an eye out for details on The Giesbrecht Family being part of One Hope Canada's 2026 support fundraising tour.
