Every year, a group of motorcycle enthusiasts in town gets together to support a great cause, and this year will be no different.

The Weyburn Independent Riders will once again be hosting their annual Toy Run for the Salvation Army.

This parade features dozens of riders from around Weyburn driving through town with two aims: gathering toys for the Salvation Army to use during the holiday season and delighting Weyburnites throughout the City.

Ahead of every event, the Riders get a helping hand from Santa Claus, who sets his sleigh up in the Walmart parking lot so shoppers and residents can donate new toys to the cause as well.

This year, Santa’s sleigh will be set up on Thursday, September 4th, and Friday, September 5th, until 5 p.m.

The Toy Run will be on Saturday, September 6th. It will start at Legacy Park Elementary School, leaving from the bus parking lot before making its way downtown, up South Hill, and ultimately ending up in River Park.

All are welcome to donate, and the Riders encourage you to sit along the route and take in the show!
