Grain Rush, driven by Great Plains Ford, continued today as we took some delicious KFC out to Steve Van De Sype and his crew, thanks to Stoughton Veterinary Clinic!
Steve noted that they are roughly halfway through harvest, but isn’t looking forward to what Mother Nature is promising to bring.
“I’m hoping what you guys are forecasting doesn’t come true,” he joked. “It did change quickly, but I guess later in the week or the weekend it’s supposed to turn back to normal.”
He, similar to other farmers we have talked to, noted that while the peas are done, there’s still a lot of work to do.
“I’m on some durum right now, a little bit of wheat left, and then canola and flax left after that. “
He also added that this year's yields are looking better than previous years, with only a bit of hail damage to their crops.
