Strathmore event provides hands-on look at trade careers

Hands-on trades will be in the spotlight this week in the Strathmore area. 

Community Futures Wild Rose is hosting Try-A-Trade Day on Thursday (Sept. 18) at the Strathmore Ag Pavillion, from 1 to 6 p.m.

The event is part of the Advancing Workforce through Apprenticeship/Trades and Engagement initiative. 

Attendees will have the chance to explore careers in healthcare and skilled trades, watch live demonstrations, and speak with training providers and trade schools. 

The goal of the event is to raise awareness about career opportunities in the trades and inspire local residents to consider them as career paths.
