The U15 AA Annugas Weyburn Wings took to the ice for their first game of the season Wednesday night, an exhibition matchup against the Estevan Bruins.
Neither team would get things going offensively until the second period, when the Bruins would open things up. Ethan Phillips would score a hat trick for the visitors, while Lucas Desaultes would score two goals and add an assist as Estevan took home a 6-1 victory. Kade Taylor scored a goal for the visitors as well.
The lone goal for the Wings came late in the third period, when Sawyer Treble scored. Rylan Meier and Liam Lacoste had the assists on the goal.
The U15 AA Wings open up the regular season on October 4th, when they host the Regina Aces at the Whitecap Resources Centre.
