A subway in Times Square in New York turned into a place of worship this past weekend.

[k]ings' Church in New York City held a worship service in the busy heart of the city, and according to organizers, it was beyond what they imagined.

Passerbys joined in the worship, singing songs and raising their hands in the air.

This was followed up with a sermon and prayer, with many people making their way through the subway and joining in.

"Worship, joy, and God’s presence right in the heart of New York City," said the church in a post on Instagram. "Lives were touched and reached by the love of Jesus. This is what happens when faith meets the city."

This isn't the first time the church has reached outside its four walls. Earlier this year, they held another service in the subway. Over the summer, they also chartered a bus and held a service at Jenkinson's Beach and Boardwalk.

Pastor David  Engelhardt and his wife, Bethany, planted Kings’ Church with ARC in 2018.
