This week’s Meal in the Field delivery brought a special stop to Darcy Loose's family farm, located north of Humboldt.

The operation covers about 600 acres of grain along with 180–200 head of cattle. It’s a farm with deep roots 102 years in the same yard, now run by the fourth generation of the family.

When asked about harvest progress, Darcy summed it up with a chuckle:

“Not bad, I guess. Well, this last two weeks has been interesting.”

Despite the ups and downs of the season, the family was happy to take a short break and enjoy a hot meal in the field.

Good luck to all farmers out there for the remaining harvest season.
