Families in need will get a boost this holiday season thanks to a Halloween fundraiser next month.
The sixth annual Halloween Party for Christmas Cheer is set for Oct. 18 at the Moose Jaw Wildlife Federation. Those in attendance can expect a fun and spooky evening with a delicious meal, a dance, and prizes for best costume.
Brenda Mackenzie is one of the organizers of this event. She says that funds raised will go towards adopting families during the holiday season.
"We raise money to help families at Christmastime that can't afford to do anything for their children,” Mackenzie said. “It includes a meal and presents for everybody in the family.”
