Dryden's Domtar Pulp Mill invites everyone to their community open house this week.
The event will take place Wednesday, August 31 from 4:30-7:30 pm, but Dianne Loewen, Communications and Engagement Coordinator for the Domtar Dryden Pulp Mill says the location won't be at Domtar.
"As much as we would love to host this event at the mill itself, we are just not able to do that for obvious safety reasons, so instead we will be set up at the Centre on Casimir Avenue," she says.
Loewen adds that this is an event for everyone to enjoy.
"We’ve got a jam-packed event. It’s a family event, so we would love to see grown-ups and kids of all ages come out. We plan to showcase the mill, what we do, and how we do it. It will offer an opportunity to meet members of the mill’s leadership team and many of the talented people we have working at the facility," she adds.
A door prize draw, BBQ, displays, free books, giveaways, and laser tag will also be available just outside of the Centre.
