Attention all local artists, enthusiasts and creatives. Steinbach Arts Council wants to feature your work.

The 25th Annual Southeast Open Judged Exhibit will take place in March of 2023 and is open to everyone that resides in the southeast.

Executive Director David Klassen says it is the “perfect opportunity” to exhibit your creations.

“What is so great about what we do at the Arts Centre is we make opportunities to invite amateur, professional, advanced, whatever you want to call yourself,”

The juvenile category is open to students in kindergarten to Grade 12, while adults have their own category.

Artwork categories include multiple media forms such as watercolours, fibre art, pottery, photography and coloured pencils.

“It's such an amazing thing to see unfold all of that artwork. We fill the walls and you see talent there in the visual arts world that you never expected,”

They will have first, second, third-place, and honourable mention awards, and a People’s Choice Award.

Applications for the exhibit and other information such as submission requirements can be found on their website, steinbacharts.ca. The deadline to apply is on Friday, February 17.
