Parenting is challenging. Finding time for family can be difficult, and carving out time for God sometimes falls to the bottom of the list.
Crystal Paine, mom of six, bestselling author, podcaster, and entrepreneur, wants to help you change this.
In her new book, The Time Saving Mom: How to Juggle a Lot, Enjoy Your Life, and Accomplish What Matters Most, Crystal delivers a no-nonsense, real-world guide on how to organize your life.
"This book is just really my heartbeat of helping moms feel like they don't have to walk through life feeling completely overwhelmed and stressed that there is a way to, as the subtitle says, juggle a lot, enjoy your life, and accomplish what matters most," said Crystal. " It's my heartbeat for just living intentionally and thinking of eternity, thinking of the future, thinking of the end of my life, what's really going to matter, and how I want to wrap my time in my life and my energy."
For Crystal, every day looks different. As a woman who wears many hats, Crystal has found a way to keep things on track.
"I practice what I call the 6 x 2 priority system. So instead of trying to fit all the things in every day, I picked two priorities to focus on per day. So some days I'm going to spend more time on business projects. Some days I'm going to spend more time at my home. Some days I'm going to spend more time on my marriage. Some days it's going to be time for friendship," Paine explains. Every day I'm rotating the priorities that I'm focusing on, and that way, I'm looking at my week as a whole instead of each day as an individual unit."
To make all of this work, Crystal says we need to be sure to prioritize prayer.
"I feel like we need to start our day from a posture of prayer or reliance upon God," said Crystal. "Going through my day, anticipating how God is going to show up and be faithful instead of feeling like I got a white knuckle my way through life on my own, there's just so much more peace that comes from that."
Today on Connections, Crystal shares how we become time-saving moms and invest in what matters most.
