The 69th Lundar Ag Fair kicked off today, captivating attendees with its lively atmosphere and a wide array of attractions. This year's fair saw a remarkable increase in turnout, which can be attributed in part to the introduction of a new ride company that brought in fresh visitors.

Derek Monkman, a passionate volunteer, was ecstatic with the fair's success. For him, it was a joy to explore the home section, petting zoo, and commercial exhibits, as they catered to the diverse interests of fairgoers, ensuring there was something for everyone to enjoy.

Undoubtedly, one of the fair's significant highlights was its collaboration with 4-H. Monkman couldn't help but commend the young participants for their accomplishments, with the impressive prices garnered by their marketed steers and the strong turnout in the 4-H competitions. The fair serves as a valuable platform for these talented individuals to showcase their skills and foster a sense of community pride.

As the fair approaches its 70th anniversary, it remains cherished as a beloved tradition, bringing together residents and visitors from near and far, all joining in the celebration of agricultural heritage.
