The Sturgeon County Bounty is right around the corner.

This two-day family-friendly event gets going on July 13 and features food trucks, live entertainment, activities for the kids, and even a vendor village, all at Cardiff Park.

"It [started as] more of a small, intimate gathering that transformed into what it is today," said Amy Oshanyk, economic development officer with the county. "It celebrates our local community that brings together our residents, local businesses, and producers to foster that sense of unity and showcase the vibrant spirit of our county."

Showcasing local businesses is a staple of the event, which has food trucks with menu items made from ingredients that were grown right in Sturgeon County.

The Bounty also features local artists from the area performing live music, with Echo Creek and The Headstrom Clan being the headliners.

"We're also going to have a hoop dancing performance from Dallas Arcand, and a cultural showcase put on by Alexander First Nation, who are our neighbours."

Oshanyk added that they're expecting a turnout of around 6,000 people during the two days of the event.

"I want to emphasis that it's a great opportunity to celebrate the county and all we have to offer," said Oshanyk. "It's a chance for us to come together, celebrate our local talent, support our local businesses, and strengthen the bonds within our community."

The event, entertainment, kids zone, and painting workshop are all free, but food trucks and vendors will be accepting various payment methods, from card to cash.
