#21 Hallett plays defensive back is 6 feet and weighs 195 lbs. He's the player who looks for chances to intercept, quick retrievals for a touchdown sprint, or to bag the quarterback when the opportunity strikes.

Manitoba Winter Fair celebrates 55 years of 'Royal' top-notch entertainment
The organizing committee of the Royal Manitoba Winter Fair is putting the finishing touches on their annual event taking place all of this week at the Keystone Centre in Brandon, Monday to Saturday, March 31st to April 5th.
The annual fair is hosted by the Provincial Exhibition of Manitoba this being their 55th year since their 'Royal' designation from Queen Elizabeth back in 1970. It features competition and entertainment from one end of the Keystone Centre to the other!

In 2024 Squeal on Pigs Manitoba had a successful year in trapping wild pigs with pig removal numbers being significantly higher totaling over 200 animals.
Doctor Wayne Lees, Coordinator for Squeal on Pigs Manitoba, says this is quite a jump from the year before, and with that they've been able to capture more field data and better understand the characteristics and habits of these wild pigs.

Friesen has been in the role as the Foodgrains rep for Manitoba and northwestern Ontario for about a month, upon Janzen's recent retirement.

Reeling in the fun at Pelican Lake's Ice Fishing Derby
The Healthy Lake Committee did it again! Another successful ice fishing derby took place on the first Saturday in March. And even though the wind was brisk, the fishing was pretty good!
The Grand Prize winner of the quad was Mervin Waldner with his 101.5 cm northern pike.
In total 487 people were registered for the March 1st fishing derby, with a total of 104 fish registered through the Fish Donkey App.

Dale Friesen grew up on a mixed farming operation just west of Altona. However, the call to ministry prompted Friesen into the seminary, and now after 17 years as pastor he has stepped into this new role as CFB rep for Manitoba and NW Ontario.
