"I've been a part of this for four years. I can't take too much credit, but I'm very grateful to steward this school at this particularly significant moment."

Dream in motion: Friend’s legacy inspires launch of motocross ministry

A ministry from southern Manitoba is combining motocross and faith as it hosts its first event at the end of June.

"It's ride day camps for kids or adults, whoever wants to come out and just hang out and ride dirt bikes," says Kevin Nolt, who started Activate Motocross Ministry. "We'll eat some BBQ food, and there'll be some discussions and videos on faith-based subjects."

The inspiration behind the name 'Activate' comes from Mark 16:15, in which it says, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation."

Manitoba prison ministry invites people to share hope with incarcerated women

Inner City Women's Ministry International has been watching God move in women's prisons for over 20 years, and they're inviting people to join in the ministry in Manitoba.

"It started with five inner city women meeting, and either you were working in the inner city or you lived in the inner city and we discussed the needs of women," says Shon McLaren, the cofounder of Inner City Women's Ministries International (ICWMI). "One of the needs was that we needed someone to go into the prisons and encourage the women that are there."

"There are millions who use old socks, mattress stuffing, or some tribes that sit in sand for five days. It is preventing them from living a dignified life."

"The year after, in the same month, in June, my two friends and I went to Niagara Falls, Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa, and Quebec City, just to share the gospel and hand out Bibles. God did amazing [things]."

For the third year in a row, Arceo is inviting Manitoban Christians to join her in praying for the country.

From pop charts to pulpits: Daniel Richter embraces Christian music with 'Light That Shines'

While Canadian singer/artist Daniel Richter isn't new to the music industry, he's branching out into the Christian side of things with his new single.

Richter, from Ontario, was in the band Eleven Past One right out of college.

"We were a pop band, top 40, mainstream," says Richter. "We were grinding for a long time, starting back in 2006. In 2009, we started taking things seriously as I had just graduated University, and my brother and his buddies just graduated high school. We took off, living in trailer parks all over the states, going for it."
