A Friday night full of generosity and fun

The Morden Christmas Cheer game brought the community together this past Friday night, filling the stands at the Access Event Centre with energy, goodwill, and plenty of holiday spirit. Organized by the Morden Thunder hockey team, the event raised a remarkable $5,822.63 and collected a significant amount of food and toys for local families in need this holiday season.

Kick off the holiday season with Homestead Co-op’s beloved Breakfast with Santa, happening this Saturday at the Carman Community Hall. From 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, enjoy a morning filled with festive fun, delicious food, and the magic of Christmas—all while supporting a great cause.

Pancakes, photos, and plenty of fun

Start your day with a delightful breakfast of pancakes, sausages, hot chocolate, and coffee. The meal is available by donation, with all proceeds going to the Carman and District Christmas Cheer Board.

The cherished Christmas event, From Everywhere to Bethlehem, is back in Winkler this weekend, bringing the nativity story to life in an unforgettable way. Taking place November 22-24 at Winkler Park by the pool, this interactive journey is perfect for the whole family and promises to get you into the Christmas spirit.

Get ready, Winkler. Sneak Peek Into Christmas is happening this Wednesday, and it’s going to be the ultimate way to kick off the holiday season. Hosted by the Winkler and District Chamber of Commerce, this cozy, community-centered event runs from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with some businesses even starting their specials earlier in the day. 

The Morden Youth for Christ (YFC) is excited to invite the community to its annual Charcuterie Banquet this Friday at the Christian Life Center. This unique fundraising event combines delicious food, community connection, and an opportunity to learn about the impactful programs Morden YFC offers for local youth. Doors open at 6:45 p.m., with the event beginning at 7 p.m.

The annual Endow Manitoba Giving Challenge, which invites communities across the province to maximize their donations, kicked off today, November 12, and will run until November 17. This unique challenge provides an opportunity for residents in participating communities, including Winkler, to double their contributions toward impactful local projects.

Held at the Victoria Inn Hotel and Convention Center from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM, the event promises a full day of engaging presentations, hands-on workshops, and expert advice, all for a registration fee of just $50, including lunch.
